As the sun set last Wednesday night at the Dannevirke Domain Band Rotunda we all heard

the last notes being played by Dannevirke’s  Pipe Band & Brass Band thus to celebrate the rotunda’s 100 years.
A small gathering of Dannevirke residents and past members of both the Pipe and Brass bands  came along to celebrate the Rotunda’s centennial, many having fond memories of  years gone by, of when  the Pipe and Brass and visiting bands took centre stage on the bandstand. 

Yvonne Thorburne would not have missed this occasion as the music that both bands played together came from a collection of music that she had come across when overseas and brought back home with her.
